Roles & Responsibilities

Your core metric: grow Fig's DAUs

We break DevRel into 3 main categories:

  1. Content: Create content across YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, blog, and docs etc! Our content is a mix of:
    1. funny (memes, trends, relatable dev experiences)
    2. informative (learn about Fig features, learn about the shell/terminal)
    3. announcements (fundraising, new hires, changelogs)
    4. launches (new features/products)
    5. shoutouts (thank people for contributions)
    6. engaging (questions)
  2. Partnerships: Partner with developer content creators, open source tools, and companies with CLI tools.
  3. Community: Engage with our Discord community of 4k+ members, GitHub community of 200+ contributors. Host workshops and meetups. Help and encourage contributors. Speak at conferences!

We are looking for someone who:

  1. has a strong background creating developer facing content in at least one medium (e.g. blog, video, twitter etc)
  2. can still work across all three of the categories
  3. will help us hire and grow our dev advocacy team

Key Qualifications

  • Great organisation (Inbox zero type)
  • Great communicator (clear, concise, friendly)
  • Familiarity with the shell (bash/zsh/fish), terminals, CLIs
  • Prior experience creating developer facing content

Bonus Points

  • Great sense of design
  • Strong familiarity with the shell (e.g. background as a sys admin or using tools like Arch Linux, vim, neovim, emacs)
  • Familiarity with web technologies like typescript, react, html/css
