Support Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Talk to and support Fig's users, contributors, and developers. Help them become power users!
  • Provide technical support across email, Discord, Twitter, GitHub, meetups, and community events
  • Build and maintain a self-serve support system for users
  • Help prioritize Fig's roadmap by presenting weekly support summaries
  • Contribute to Fig's public autocomplete repo

[Optional] If you would like, we can start you off coding ~20% of the time, and move you to a full-time coding role by the end of your first year. If this is of interest, please flag it in your application!

Key Qualifications

  • Great organisation (Inbox zero type)
  • Great communicator (clear, concise, friendly)
  • Background working directly with users/customers (e.g. support, sales, business development)
  • Familiarity with the shell (bash/zsh/fish), terminals, CLIs
  • Fast typist!!

Bonus Points

  • Background using tools like Arch Linux, vim, neovim, emacs
  • Background as a sysadmin + familiarity with servers, remote machines etc
  • Familiarity with web technologies like typescript, react, html/css
